Rajah Caruth is joining Hendrick Motorsports for the NASCAR weekend at Kansas Speedway. On Thursday morning, Hendrick Motorsports announced that Caruth will drive the No. 17 car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kansas next weekend. The 23-year-old driver hasn’t made a start with Hendrick Motorsports since the 2023 Xfinity Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
Caruth drives full-time with Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series and is sponsored by Hendrickcars.com, which also partners with Kyle Larson. The driver of the No. 71 truck is currently in the final transfer spot to make the Round of 8 going into the Round of 10 finale at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend.
The No. 17 car for Hendrick Motorsports is one of the best entries in the Xfinity Series field, so it’s an excellent opportunity for Caruth to flash his talent in good equipment. There will be a lot of pressure on Caruth to perform in his start with Hendrick Motorsports, but he should perform well based on his recent runs in the Xfinity Series.
