Ratcliffe’s First Read Week 9

Ratcliffe’s First Read Week 9

The season is deep enough that every snap matters and every tilt carries playoff juice. Week 9 gave us quarterback fireworks, bell-cow blowups and a few injury plot twists that will ripple through waivers and lineups. We saw elite stars remind everyone why they were drafted early, rookies flash league-winning upside, and a couple of coaches empty the trick-play bag.

Below, I break down every game with the key numbers that actually move your fantasy needle, plus a quick fantasy spin for each team so you leave with an action plan, not just a box score.

Baltimore @ Miami

Lamar Jackson returned like he never left, shredding Miami by completing 18 of 23 for 204 yards and 4 scores. He feasted on open receivers, hitting 14 of 15 for 144 yards with all four touchdowns when targets had 3-plus yards of separation. That is his third career game with four touchdowns to open receivers and his second such bomb-drop on the Dolphins. Derrick Henry bulldozed for 119 yards on 19 carries with +36 RYOE, including 118 after contact, and finally saw light boxes on a season-high 26.3% of his totes, cashing them for 66 yards on five attempts. Zay Flowers led with 5 targets and caught all 5 for 64 yards. Mark Andrews only needed 2 catches to score twice and post 22 yards. Isaiah Likely added juice with 3 for 60. Fantasy spin: Lamar vaults back into elite QB1 territory, Henry is a locked-in RB1 when fronts lighten, Flowers is a steady WR2, Andrews is a volatile streamer, and Likely is trending up with Lamar back.
