Group play in the 2025 NBA Cup resumes Friday night in New York, as the Miami Heat visit the New York Knicks in a matchup of Eastern Conference playoff contenders. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET with streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime.

The Knicks are set to play on their home floor for the ninth time in 12 games to start the season, this one featuring the third and sixth-place teams in the East. New York is 7-4 overall and 7-1 at Madison Square Garden and owns the East’s best scoring differential (+6.8). The Knicks are looking to get into the NBA Cup win column as part of Group C, which the Heat lead along with the Milwaukee Bucks with 1-0 records. The Knicks opened NBA Cup play with a 135-125 loss on the road to the Chicago Bulls.

The Heat are sixth in the East at 7-5 overall with a group that hits the road after winning three of their past four games at home. Miami split a back-to-back with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday and Wednesday, opening with a 140-138 overtime win and falling in Game 2 (130-116) after holding a 97-93 lead through three quarters. Normal Powell scored a team-high 27 points and hit 5-of-10 from 3-point range in the loss.

The Knicks and Heat are set for a 7 p.m. ET start exclusively on Prime Video, which comes with a free trial for new users.
