Division leading Guardians aim for the series sweep in matinee finale against the Yankees
Winners of eight of their last nine games on the road, the Cleveland Guardians return to Yankee Stadium on Thursday afternoon for a matinee matchup against the New York Yankees in search of the series sweep. The Guardians will start right-hander Slade Cecconi (3-5, 5.25 ERA) in search of his fourth win in his last seven starts while the Yankees will counter with veteran southpaw Carlos Rodon (1-2, 3.32 ERA) in his fifth start of the season after missing a month with an elbow injury.
