As the World Cup is soon coming to an end, fans who were able to attend a match in person will be looking back at their experiences across 16 host venues, three host countries and dozens of communities.

Seven matches have been played in Atlanta so far, with just one match remaining in the semifinal round. Fans from England, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Spain, Cape Verde, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Czechia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Haiti, Argentina and Egypt made their way into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Stadium) in the heart of the city’s entertainment district.

So, what will World Cup fans remember most about Atlanta Stadium? Likely the inexpensive food.

Atlanta Stadium offers cheapest food among World Cup venues

In a new report from Casino.org, the Atlanta Stadium ranked first in cheapest stadium food for the World Cup.

Analysts calculated the total price for one classic game day meal (hot dog, taco, burger), one official World Cup signature stadium dish, one domestic beer, one snack (chips or nuts) and one bottle of water to see where fans may be able to have the most cost-effective experience.

Atlanta Stadium ranked cheapest with all five items adding up to just $31.50. Hot dogs are just $2 inside, domestic beer is $5, snacks are $3.50, water is $3 and the stadium’s signature meal (oxtail egg rolls) were just $18.00 as one of the most expensive items you can find inside the stadium.

To locals, this will come as no surprise.

In an interview with WSB-TV before the tournament began, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank said the price of food inside Mercedes-Benz would remain the same price as any other event. Blank is also the owner of Atlanta’s MLS team Atlanta United, and the major benefactor behind the new Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center which opened earlier this year just south of Atlanta as the new home of soccer in America.

Other cheap menu items include $3 pizza slices, $2 popcorn, $3 soft pretzels, $5 cheeseburgers and $3 french fries.

“Fans give us their energy, their time, their passion, their resources, their families, whatever it may be, and we need to honor that in the truest sense of the word, whatever we can,” Blank said in the interview.
