Do you want some Sunday night intel regarding what’s happening with Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman and the MLB Trade Deadline?
Apparently, Goodman is still available.
MLB Insider and former MLB executive Jim Bowden had an interesting list of players and starting pitchers still available for trades.

“SP off the market now: Skubal, Gausman, Peralta, Castillo, Mahle .. still available: Mize, Ray, Soriano, Detmers, Holmes, May, Bieber and maybe Griffin, Greene, Rogers,” Bowden wrote in a post on X.
“Teams still looking for SP: Milw, TB, SD, AZ, PHl. Hitters still available: Arraez, Ramos, Ward, Varsho, Neto, Rutschman, Goodman, Torrens, Stephenson. 20 hours left until the trade deadline tick tock tick tock”, Bowden wrote.
There you go. Goodman is among the hitters still being looked at by other MLB teams.
Remember, the MLB Trade Deadline ends on Monday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. ET. Plenty of time between now and then for Rockies president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta and general manager Josh Byrnes to do some things.

A few teams made some moves on Sunday, but not a lot. This might figure into other MLB teams hitting the ground running on Monday morning. It’s no secret that the Rockies fit into the “sellers” category right now.
Besides Goodman, of course, there has been trade talk surrounding Mickey Moniak, Jake McCarthy, Willi Castro, Antonio Senzatela, Kyle Freeland, and Michael Lorenzen.
It’s been a tough season for the Rockies, who have flirted with getting into fourth place in the National League West Division. After finishing off a sweep at Coors Field over the struggling Kansas City Royals, Colorado now stands two games behind the San Francisco Giants for that elusive fourth-place position.
The Rockies are now 27-29 at Coors Field this season, but the road hasn’t been good to them. Colorado is 18-38 against opponents in their ballparks. A few rough months this season has set the Rockies behind record-wise.

Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer has done his best to steer the ballclub in a better direction. Comparing this year’s team to last year’s squad, there have been some marked improvements. Fans have to look hard for them in some cases, but they are there.
If DePodesta and Byrnes end up dealing either McCarthy or Moniak, then Colorado fans might look at them in a mean way. These two players are ones that always go out and give their best night-in and night-out.
With Colorado taking on a “sellers” role just a little less than 24 hours before the MLB Trade Deadline ends on Monday, the Rockies are looking at their options for trades.
